Thank you for taking a look at another unique acquisition that is now offered for sale from fiveninedesign. Priding ourselves in offering some of the most unique vehicles on the planet, this 2000 Hummer H1 Hardtop Wagon is no exception to our rule. These trucks, which were originally stamped out for extreme military use, have been trekking up the value chart as a staple collectible for years to come! The AM General H1 Wagon’s were a great mix of luxury and raw machinery, to create a “truck” unlike anything ever created before. Finished in a black on black configuration, this is the MOST desirable factory color combination, on top of the always most desired 4 door hardtop Wagon.
Our H1 is a truck best described in one word. Honesty. This truck has been enjoyed thoroughly, and maintained and preserved by enthusiasts throughout it’s 17 year trek. It wears it’s bumps and bruises openly, and in plain sight, but it does not hinder the beauty of this truck whatsoever. These trucks were never known for their “quality control”, and they often wore issues from the factory when new. If you spend some time going through the photos attached, you will see EXACTLY what you are getting. The gloss black paint shines great, and really hides the occasional scratch or nick well. There is no major areas of surface rust, and no signs of any accident damage ever. While there are signs of painted panels, it is nothing that should show any concern to a buyer as the truck has a clean carfax, and it is obvious it has never been banged up. The super rare polished Dick Cepek 16.5” Wheels are in excellent condition, with no major damage whatsoever. The CTIS system works perfectly, and shows no major leakage as most of these H1’s do. The roof of this H1 was wrapped recently in gloss black to help preserve the condition of the truck, as well as hide some of the fading that was occuring. If no one told you it was wrapped, you would never know. The 37×12.50×16.5 Interco tires are in good shape, having plenty of tread life left, but showing some patina in the form of age. They still ride good, and show no real sign of needing to be changed. All of the exterior lights work, and the truck has brand new Silverstar Headlamps installed which are about 50% brighter than the OEM lights, while still retaining the classic look. Aftermarket custom PIAA LED Fog Lamps were subtly installed behind the factory winch, and are willing to give the added light you may need in the bush.
Moving to the interior of the truck, and you are in for a real treat. This truck looks and feels like new on the inside, and has one of the nicest interiors we have come across. The black leather seats are in excellent condition with no major tears or scratches. The seams on the drivers seat have small tears in them, which once again isn’t noticeable unless pointed out. The dash has the factory optional HUMMER Carbon Fiber additions, which look amazing as well. The factory Monsoon Stereo system was recently serviced and replaced, including new Monsoon Amps, OEM Subwoofer, and MB Quartz Coaxial Speakers which make give even the newest upgraded sound systems a run for their money. The factory head unit is included with the truck, but has been replaced with a new Alpine head unit solely for the Bluetooth Audio and iPod Capability. The factory suede headliner is in great condition, and shows little wear, as does the carpet in the truck. It still retains the factory H1 smell these trucks had when new, and we hope that never changes!
Mechanically, this H1 has always been serviced by factory Authorized Hummer Technicians, and has been maintained very well. It is up to date on services, and needs nothing. Tests have been completed long ago, and luckily this truck never had the 8th cylinder problem, therefore not needing a new engine, nor having to worry that this truck will fall to that plague. Everything works on this truck as it is supposed to, the A/C blows ice cold and strong, and all of the gauges work and show that this truck runs optimally. Once again, this is just a really honest Hummer.
In closing, if you are looking at this truck then you know what it is. You also know what a lot of them go through, and probably understand that this is a nicer than average truck. No smoke and mirrors, just a good, usable, and sound Hummer H1. Own it while you can, as the values on these trucks have been rapidly increasing. Perhaps an opportunity to own something unique and awesome for a few years, and sell it for a profit down the road. Not many cars can provide that potential possibility, but the Hummer H1 is definitely one of them.
