Thank you for taking a look at another unique piece of fiveninedesign inventory. Here at fiveninedesign, we strive to offer some of the most unique and rare vehicles on the market globally. In layman’s terms, if we are selling it, it is special. This 1997 Porsche 911 Carrera 2S Coupe is not only an incredible machine, but carries a rich history along with it to pass along to the next owner. This ONE OWNER 993 C2S was purchased Brand New, from Brumos Porsche, by George Drolsom. Becoming the first American and first non-German employed by the Porsche factory, George moved to Jacksonville and began a long association with Porsche and Brumos Porsche. Drolsom logged 93 IMSA GT starts and 13 in the 24 Hours of Daytona where he won the 1967 2-Liter Touring class in his Porsche 911. He earned additional class wins at Nassau Speed Weeks and the 12 Hours of Sebring. This car was OWNED by the first American and first Non-German Employee of the Porsche Factory, ever! George drove this car as his daily driver, from the time is was new, until his recent passing, and the car never skipped a beat. With an original, and only owner like George Drolsom, rest assured you are not only buying a piece of motorsports history, but you are buying a car that has been driven it’s entire life by someone who knows Porsche, very well.
Finished in Dark Blue Metallic with Gray Interior, this 993 is absolutely stunning. With the higher mileage, it is apparent that it was well taken care of to still be in this condition years later. The car is all original, with no upgrades at all, just how the factory would like it. Everything seems to work as it should, and the car still has that original air cooled aura that people love so much. The blue paint shines incredibly, and looks absolutely amazing. Sure, it has some scratches, knicks, and dents, but nothing over the top. Please see all of the photos for a real, exact itemization of the condition for this vehicle. The gray leather interior is in excellent condition, especially after we had our detailers spend some time cleaning it up. Very little areas show wear on the interior, and the car is very tight just as you would expect a Porsche to be. Mechanically, this car is sound, and has always been maintained by Brumos Porsche/Porsche of Jacksonville. This is an honest car, with nothing to hide. The Carfax shows some incidents with the rear bumper of the car, which also shows that it was a minor incident with no decrepitating damage, nor airbags. Both of these times were accounted for by Porsche, and were just minor bumps that required a bumper skin, and once, a rear fender, to be painted. Besides that, this car has no stories, no issues, no garage mess to clean up, and it doesn’t even need to sit on a tender! What you see is exactly what you get, and it is all that you would ever imagine it would be. With rising air cooled prices recently in the 964 and 993 segment, this is an opportunity to own a driver quality, investable Porsche, that is only increasing in value, for a very fair price. Not to mention, a TWIN GRILL, wide body S model. Cars like this come around every decade or so, so don’t be the guy (or gal) that slept on this opportunity.
